WHAT WE DO AT THE MAIN CLUB
BGC Greater Saint John is the largest provider of after school programs in Canada, and the Main Club Location is one of our Licensed Childcare facilities. Our goals working with children and youth are grounded in care and meet the developmental needs of the children at a very important time in their lives.
Our program makes a difference in kids lives and our community by providing diverse, engaging, educational activities for every child that comes through our doors.
The weekly program is located in a large building that offers both indoor and outdoor activity, computer and STEM opportunities, accessibility, transportation and close to outside facilities.
Our programs will be offered in an intellectually, socially and culturally engaging environment where communication, literacy and respect for diversity is valued and supported. Seaside’s programs over the years have grown and become a wonderful way for partners in the community to get involved with and teach the cities children.
Our Main Club location is a huge hub where everything comes together with our kids. It’s where we offer several programs year long like our main after school care, in the past there has been martial arts programs, food and cooking programs, partnered programs for crafts with other community groups. Children regularly get time in our computer lab and playgrounds, as well as gymnasium and it offers a single elevator for accessibility and is often the host for community youth meetings, drivers ed, staff training, and more!
MAIN CLUB EVENING PROGRAM
BGC Greater Saint John Youth Evening Program offers a safe, fun & creative environment for young people to develop essential skills for success. All BGC Greater Saint John Youth Evening Programs are 100% FREE!
The. BGC Main Club runs our Evening Program from October to April and is where youth have found some of our most loved programs like our sports programs for Basketball and Ball Hockey, as well as our Youth Leadership programs like Torch Club, and Keystone. There are so many different programs run for evening each year that all the staff are so proud of and enthusiastic to teach!
