Club Day 2024

BGC Greater Saint John (formerly known as the Boys and Girls Club) is a not-for-profit children and youth organization focused on supporting those in our community who face social and economic barriers. Our mission is to close the gap on poverty by providing a safe and inclusive environment for children and youth of the greater Saint John area to play, learn, grow and evolve into strong and independent members of society. Founded nearly 125 years ago, BGC Greater Saint John provides a number of services and programs to greatly improve the lives of the families we serve through food security, mental health, social and emotional wellness, physical activity and educational growth, impacting thousands of lives across the country.

On Friday June 7th, 2024 from 4:00pm – 9:00pm – BGC Greater Saint John will be hosting its annual “BGC Club Day” event at our main club located at 1 Paul Harris Street and Chown Field.

BGC Club Day is our National Day of awareness where Clubs and the BGC movement come together to celebrate Club impact across Canada. Clubs celebrate the unbelievable impact that we make on children and youth, as well as all of our own local communities. This event is free of charge and open to the general public. There will be a number of activities for the entire family to enjoy such as:

Carnival games
Touch-A-Truck
Activities and prizes
Food
Entertainment

Flag Raising at City Hall will be held at 10AM June 6th, all are welcome to come and join!

Schools across Saint John will be wearing green on June 7th to celebrate the fun family day and the amazing impact and opportunities that The BGC helps provide in our communities! Join us in wearing green!

Please note: Paul Harris Street will be closed to all traffic during the event.

Our sub-locations at River Valley (Grand Bay-Westfield) and Belleisle will also be hosting their “BGC Club Day” events on June 7th, 2024 with food, fun and entertainment. BGC – River Valley will be hosting “BGC Club Day” at the Brundage Point River Center – 4 Ferry Rd, Grand Bay-Westfield, NB. BGC – Belleisle will be hosting Club Day at Belleisle Elementary School – 1775 ROUTE, Springfield, NB.
