Program Overview

Peer-Led Tutoring

Peer-Led Tutoring is a BGC education program that supports students by providing 100% FREE tutoring services and volunteer leadership opportunities within their own High School. We are currently running in Simonds High School, St. Mac’s, Saint John High, and Harbour View High School.

**Students may only attend the program that is offered at the school they are enrolled in (ex. St.Macs student may only attend the St.Mac’s Peer-Led Tutoring

BGC Evening Program

BGC Education Evening program runs Tuesday – Thursday 5:30 pm-8:30 pm at Simonds High School. This program offers a safe place for youth to hang out, make friends, find employment or education help, and share interests and hobbies. Fully equipped with board games, Tech centers, Tutors and much more youth will always be able to find what they are looking for.

Babysitter Course

BGC Education’s Babysitter Course is Canadian Safety Council Certified and offers youth ages 13+ the opportunity to learn how to safely babysit as well as how to get started their own babysitting business.

  • 10 Hour Program (4 evenings 5:30pm – 8:00pm)
  • 25$ Registration Fee (Includes Materials)
  • Pre-registration required
  • Youth receive a certificate for successful completion
LIT / CIT Course

Leaders in Training (13+) and Counselors in Training (15+) are stepping stones to getting your first summer job as a camp counselor! Youth will learn many practical skills, Job skills, and develop leadership skills over this 5 day Course.

  • Youth receive a certificate for successful completion
Summer Youth Leadership

Summer Youth Leadership offers a variety of camps all aimed at learning new skills, sharing interests, and encouraging leadership skills. Youth will have the opportunity to be involved in themed weeks where they can learn specific skills in arts, STEAM the outdoors and more. As well, youth will get to participate in the YES! Program where they can learn how to become an entrepreneur and even earn a little money in the process!
